The entry deadline for the competition film program was over on 10 January. About 1000 films were submitted from 60 countries.

Since the postmen delivered countless films in huge sacks for the last days before the deadline, we cannot say the exact datas yet. That’s why we ask for the applicants’ patience while their films’ submission and the arrival of their preview dvds are published on our website.
The pre-selection committee has been working since the middle of December, and has watched nearly 500 films. According to the midterm scores, the Festival’s 18th edition will consist of an exciting and heavy competition program. It is the short fiction program which seems to be the heaviest so far.
The pre-selection committee will finish its job, thus they will select the films for the comptetition and for the special program by the middle of February. We ask for the patience of the applicants till then.
Those who notice any mistakes in their entry forms or the lack of any required materials (stills from the films, dialogue list, synopsis), can correct or complete it by sending us an e-mail to the following e-mail address: entry@mediawave.hu (referring to the title and the director of the film).
