The wonderful village Őriszentpéter is situated 10 kilometer from the bordertown HODOS in the centre of the nationalpark Őrség.
For 5 days we have everything there: place for tents, a lot nature, sleepingplaces in side if necessarey, a lot rooms for rehearsal etc…. and two of the best musicians in the scene of rhythms !!!
Paying the seminar includes also the tickets for two festivals: MEDIAWAVE SELECTIVE in West-Hungary and SCHNITTPUNKTE FESTIVAL in Eastern-Austria
SCHEDULE:
ARRIVING on Sunday 9th, start Monday morning to teach. The closingconcert will be on Thursday evening as part of the two festivals mediawave and limmitationes.
They will teach:
- Singlelessons and in groups : Harvey Sorgen und/oder Ramesh Shotham
- For drums (Jazz, Blues, Funk, Avantgarde )
- Percussion, centered by indian percussion/rhythms
- There will be also lessons as cooperation of both ( drums&percussion)
- And they will work on a program for the closing concert

Ramesh Shotham played at the Jazz Festival in Havana with Steve Coleman, followed by a summer tour with Carla Bley's Escalator over the Hill Project, and an invitation to a World-Music Festival in Tunesia with the well known Oud player Mohammed Zinelabidin. Shotham's work with musicians such as Carla Bley, Steve Coleman, Steve Swallow, Jonas Hellborg, Charlie Mariano, Sigi Schwab and Ronan Guilfoyle.

Master Drummer Harvey Sorgen has performed or recorded with Anthony Braxton, Bruce Hornsby, Jack De-Johnette, Bob Weir, David Torn, Ahmad Jamal, Los Lobos, Art Lande, Roswell Rudd, NRBQ, and Bill Frisell. He is currently a working member of the world famous rock group "Hot Tuna" and was a featured in a recent modern drummer interview article. His album credits include Hot Tuna, The Arc Quartet, The Mallards, the Mosaic Sextet, NRBQ, and Sorgen-Rust-Stevens Trio.
