After our pause caused by the fantastic MEDIAWAVE Festival, we will try to temp back our dearest spectators in the following weeks with many great films of the Festival. This time we won’t present our films but the ones from JÁNOS webTV. János TÓTH from Szentgothárd is a very special person of the cultural life of Hungary. Wherever he turns up, he films each single moment without rest. Not only organized programs, but spontaneous actions as well. These films conserve very special moments which can’t bee seen by the audience because they sleep or relax somewhere, preparing for the next day. For these moments, it’s worth to organize festivals. This year, János webTV saved many special moments from the late night jam sessions in Romer House. Click here!

On the "0 Day" of the Festival David Murray and his family visited Kajárpéc, a village near Győr. Murray had been here twice before: in 2002 and 2003 in the accompanionship of Big Lucky Carter, blues methuselah and other guests of the Festival. This time his visit wasn't the so-called popular representative counry side party, but it was about meeting several members of the Festival's team, who have settled down in this village, and who have been his friends for a long time. Thanks to the office's baby boom last year, they have even helped its population to rise. Murray brought his wife and two children with him, too. They saw the nut tree planted in honour of Big Lucky Carter (who has passed away since then)in front of an old wine-cellar. "Uncle Laki" was called to be the grandfather of the Festival in 2003, for this occassion Murray played blues, too. "Uncle Laki" died at Christmas and his nut tree also ran dry. One year before it he was sitting under the tree with János Zerkula, who followed him to Heaven, where they are playing music forever together. In honour of them we paid tribute to their memory at the nut-tree... (you can find videos and photos above!)
